Transforming the Life Sciences

In 2010, Paul O’Sullivan founded Skellig Automation with one overarching goal: build a great place to work for people who want to revolutionize the Life Sciences.

We built our business around solving for engineers. Our engineers seize opportunities that suit their career goals, surrounded by others who find real fulfillment in their work. Skellig Automation isn’t a family—we’re a team of people with a unified vision who give their best every day.

"Starting at Skellig fresh out of college was the beginning of an incredible journey. Despite my initial lack of experience in pharma and DCS, Skellig empowered me to build a career in a fascinating and lucrative industry. These past five years have been a profound blessing, enabling me to provide for my beautiful bride and our growing family of four. I am deeply thankful for Skellig and excited for our shared future."

“The best part about working at Skellig is feeling supported. If I need anything - a sanity check, some technical help, an adult -  it's easily within reach, or if not, people will happily help you get there!”
Javier Delgado
Senior Automation Engineer
“Working for Skellig the past 5 years has been a refreshing experience largely due to the unique company culture. Skellig doesn't just say they put people first, they truly mean it. The company empowers it's engineers to take ownership of their own career paths, giving flexibility and trust to grow in the direction that suits them best. Being surrounded by such an incredibly talented team is both inspiring and rewarding, with colleagues who consistently step in to offer guidance, help solve challenges, and push one another to improve.”
Briana Davis

“I joined Skellig seeking new and diverse projects but, after recently becoming a parent, I needed flexibility for my family. The team at Skellig went above and beyond to balance my needs with their client needs to provide services that work best for everyone.”
Alexander Clark

“I’ve been with the company for over 12 years, and it’s been really special to grow along with it. I’ve seen us go from a small team of about 10 people to around 100 today, and through all that change, one thing has stayed the same—a genuine focus on people. You can feel that the company truly cares, not just about the work we do, but about each of us as individuals. There’s an openness here that makes it easy to trust and be heard.”
Purnendu Saptarshi
Senior Automation Engineer
“The best part of Skellig is working on exciting projects, working in a partnership with our amazing clients, and most of all working with the wonderful people that Skellig has attracted. Skellig is dynamic and adaptable company that is open to new ideas, new processes, and pushing the boundaries of the industry.”
Cristina Curtis

The Skellig Way

At Skellig, our approach to culture and employee empowerment comes with high expectations on both sides: we do right by our people, and they do great work on a strong cultural foundation. Together, we strive to make a lasting impact on the Life Sciences by reducing the cost of manufacturing. If you have a passion for improving patient outcomes, we encourage you to check our open positions.

We named our cultural framework the Skellig Way, and it shapes how we approach making Skellig Automation a great place to work. The five tenets of the Skellig Way guide our every management and business decision.

Assume Positive Intent

We believe people act with good intentions. We trust each other to make good decisions for ourselves and our customers.

Power in Diversity

We treat all people with kindness, compassion, and respect, and we appreciate the real value of diverse voices. Skellig is built on a foundation of gathering together and amplifying those who share our unified vision and values.

Put People First

We solve problems based on human experience from individuals and teams. We bet on each employee’s knowledge, imagination, and integrity, then collaborate to prioritize the best outcomes for real people.

Open and Honest Communication Always

Progress begins with the truth. We share the critical information required to do our jobs well across the organization. Transparency builds deep trust across all parties.

Maximize Impact Through Innovation

We innovate and positively reinvent efficient systems, tools, and culture within the Life Sciences industry to create a rewarding experience with a human focus.
